  • 1. Overview of Armored Thermocouples

    An armored thermocouple is a type of temperature sensor that measures temperature by noting that the resistance of a substance changes with temperature changes. When the resistance value changes, the working instrument displays the temperature value corresponding to the resistance value. It has a smaller diameter than prefabricated platinum resistors and is easily bent, making it suitable for installation in narrow pipelines and special situations requiring rapid response and miniaturization. It can automatically detect gases, liquid media, and solid surfaces, and can be directly connected to secondary instruments using copper wires. Due to its excellent electrical output characteristics, it can provide precise input values for displays, recorders, regulators, scanners, data recorders, and computers.

    2. Application

    It is usually used in conjunction with display instruments, recorders, electronic computers, and similar devices. Directly measures the temperature of liquids, steam, and gas media, as well as solid surfaces, within the 0°C~1300°C range in various production processes.

    4. Working Principle: The electrode of the armored thermocouple is composed of two different conductor materials.
