Overview of explosion-proof thermocouples
Industrial explosion-proof thermocouples and RTDs are used as sensors for temperature measurement and control, paired with display instruments, to directly measure and control the temperatures of gases, liquids, and steam during production.
The explosion-proof performance of chemical explosion-proof thermocouples and resistors produced by our factory is designed and manufactured according to the issued standard for "explosion-proof electrical equipment for explosive environments." The thermoelectric characteristics comply with IEC standards and have passed testing by the instrument explosion-proof supervision station.
Explosion-proof thermocouples have the same structure, principle, and assembly method as thermal resistors. The main difference is that the junction box (housing) of explosion-proof products is designed to be made of high-strength aluminum alloy die-casting, providing sufficient internal space, wall thickness, mechanical strength, and the thermal stability of the rubber sealing ring all meet explosion-proof standards. Therefore, when the explosive gas mixture inside the junction box explodes, the internal pressure will not destroy the box, and the resulting thermal energy cannot diffuse outward—this is the explosion propagation. As long as users strictly follow the product usage rules, the product can achieve reliable explosion-proof performance.Features of explosion-proof thermocouples
Multiple explosion-proof forms with excellent explosion-proof performance;
Spring-type temperature sensing elements with excellent vibration resistance;
Wide temperature measurement range;
High mechanical strength and good pressure resistance;Working principle of explosion-proof thermocouples
Explosion-proof thermocouples use the principle of gap explosion-proof protection, designing junction boxes and other components with sufficient strength. All components that may generate sparks, arcs, or dangerous temperatures are sealed inside the junction box cavity. When an explosion occurs inside the cavity, the gap between the joint surfaces can extinguish and cool the flame, preventing the flame and temperature from passing outside the chamber, thus providing explosion protection.
