Overview of Explosion-Proof Thermal Resistors
Industrial explosion-proof resistance thermometers serve as sensors for temperature measurement and control, paired with display instruments, enabling direct measurement and control of gas, liquid, and steam temperatures in production processes.
The chemical‑grade explosion‑proof thermocouples and resistance thermometers manufactured by our factory are designed and produced in accordance with the issued standard “Explosion‑Proof Electrical Equipment for Explosive Atmospheres.” Their thermal characteristics comply with IEC standards and have been tested and approved by the Instrumentation Explosion‑Proof Supervision Station.
Explosion-proof thermocouples and resistance temperature detectors share essentially the same structure, operating principle, and assembly method. The primary difference lies in the design of the explosion-proof junction box (housing), which is manufactured via high‑strength aluminum alloy die‑casting and features ample internal space, adequate wall thickness, and robust mechanical strength. Moreover, the thermal stability of the rubber sealing rings complies with explosion‑proof standards. Consequently, if an explosive gas mixture inside the junction box were to detonate, the resulting internal pressure would not compromise the housing, nor could the generated heat propagate outward—preventing flame transmission. Provided that users strictly adhere to the product’s operating instructions, the device can reliably achieve explosion‑proof performance.
Features
Compression-spring-type temperature-sensing element with excellent vibration resistance;
High measurement accuracy;
No compensation leads required, saving costs;
Imported thin-film resistor elements, offering reliable and stable performance.Working Principle
Explosion-proof resistance thermometers utilize the principle of flameproof enclosure, featuring a junction box and other components designed with sufficient strength to seal all parts that could generate sparks, arcs, or hazardous temperatures within the junction box cavity. When an explosion occurs inside the cavity, the flame and heat are extinguished and cooled by the gap at the joint surface, preventing the propagation of the explosion outward, thereby achieving explosion protection.
